My name is Laura Sue Johnson and I am originally from the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia. I graduated high school knowing God had big plans for my life. I attended Milligan College where I studied English, photography, and education. I was quite determined. I knew during my freshman year exactly what I wanted to do: graduate in four years with a B.A. in English, minor in photography, certificate in teaching. Then, I wanted to move back to Savannah and teach 9th grade English at my old high school while living in my very cool, downtown apartment with my golden retriever dog (that I didn't have).
That, friends, is EXACTLY what I did.
And I loved it. I mean, LOVED it. I am very passionate about teaching, but even more passionate about reaching kids no one wants. And this went on for five years. Now, there are a lot more details that go into this part of the story, but the short of it is this: God moved. He moved me, to be more specific. I found myself wanting to leave Savannah - something I NEVER thought I would do. But I did. And it was completely through God's provision.
I moved to Flowery Branch, Georgia in 2008. I continued to teach, and my heart continued to change. I married my incredible husband on December 19, 2009, and so a new chapter has begun in my life. Once again, I find myself yearning for something different - something I didn't know I was going to want. To find out what this is, you'll need to hop over to the "My Mary Kay Story" tab.
I am a dreamer - a beautiful wreck of a dreamer, and I am exactly who God created me to be. I hope you dream along with me!
